The steps it takes to reach a successful closing!

Step 1. Speak with a lender to obtain a prequalification letter
Step 2. Create a wants vs needs list—include location, size, number bedrooms, baths etc.
Step 3. Research Communities: schools, churches, services
Step 4. Research the market: sales prices, values, assessments
Step 5. Interview: Building Inspectors, Lenders, Real Estate Agents
Step 6. Preview Properties: Evaluate, prioritize, make a decision
Step 7. Negotiate an offer
Step 8. Track Contingency Dates: building inspection results, bank approval dates, appraisal dates.
Step 9. Set Up Utility Services: cable, phone, electric, newspaper delivery
Step 10. Walk Through—a final review of the property prior to closing to ascertain the property conforms to the purchase and sales agreement.
Step 11. Closing: be sure to bring photo identification and certified funds to closing!
